Hi, I’m Hailey Velarde! I'm a singer-songwriter from Sacramento, California. Music has always been the way I make sense of the world. I write songs that are honest, emotional, and rooted in real experiences. Whether it’s about love, heartbreak, growth, or just figuring life out, my goal is always to create something people can connect with. My sound blends pop, indie, and acoustic sounds. Bachelor's Degree in Communications + Minor in Creative Writing (In Progress)
Currently studying Communications and Creative Writing at Sacramento State University. Developing a diverse portfolio of poems, songs, and short stories while simultaneously learning about marketing and how to convey things properly to the right audience. Expected graduation in Spring 2028.
Experience
Training & Performing
Took singing lessons from 2018 - 2020, focusing on musical theatre and pop vocal skills. Performed both covers and original music multiple times in front of large crowds ranging from 100-1,000 people, including opening for artists on tour. Completed Berklee College of Music's Summer Songwriting Program in both 2025 and 2026.
